Soccer School at St Margaretsbury FC

St Margaretsbury has re-established their Soccer School! Catering to Boys and Girls from 3 to 8 years in age, these coaching-focused sessions aim to instil a love for the beautiful game. The children are encouraged to develop their skills in a non-competitive environment, while embracing the values of teamwork, discipline and fair play.

Ex-Spurs Player Luke Steel, who sadly suffered a career-ending football injury, has since built up his own successful youth academy and has partnered with our Soccer School to prepare two U7s sides ready for the 24/25 season to complement the existing youth teams. It offers a pathway for children, moving from fun non-competitive to competitive football to achieve their best.

Stanstead Abbotts Local History Society Event

The next Stanstead Abbotts Local History Society event is taking place tomorrow night (Friday 10^th November), 7.30pm at The Parish Hall in Stanstead Abbotts.

Lee Prosser will be giving a fascinating talk on ‘The Royal Kitchens at Kew’.

Members go free. Non-members only £3, which includes refreshments.

St Margaretsbury Fireworks Display

The Annual St Margaretsbury Bonfire & Fireworks Display is on Sunday 5th November at the Recreation Ground, St Margaretsbury, Herts SG12 8EH.

Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy this annual night of firework fun!

What is on offer?
• On-site parking (until full)
• Catering truck
• Kiddies mini fun-fair
• Hot mulled wine stall
• Licensed clubhouse bar

What are the timings?
(Timings are approximate)
Gates open at 4pm
Bonfire lit at 6:30pm
Fireworks at 6:45pm

Make Lunch Club

Have you heard about Make Lunch Club?

It’s run by The 3 Churches Benefice at The Wilshere Hall as part of the TLG initiative.

It’s running over the summer from 12 to 2pm on Mondays and Fridays. Families can enjoy a meal, make new friends and have some fun too!

Stanstead Abbotts Local History Society (SALHS) are holding their Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Friday 12^th May, 7.30pm at Stanstead Abbotts’ Parish Hall.

The AGM will be followed by ‘Memories of Stanstead Abbotts’, which promises to be really interesting.

This event is free to Members, but only £2 to non-Members, which includes wine and nibbles!

St Margaretsbury Cricket Club: FREE training!

Over the summer, St Margaretsbury Cricket Club are offering FREE training for girls aged 8 and above.

Training starts on 15^th May at 5.45pm and is open to all abilities. The aim is to get a team together to enter a competitive league next season.
