Last Equine Table Top Sale & Dog Show for 2024!

Don’t miss the last Equine Table Top Sale and Dog show of the year!

WHERE: Albury Village Hall, The Bourne, Albury
WHEN: Sunday 24th November
WHAT TIME: 11am to 1.30pm

EQUINE TABLE TOP SALE
Entry £1 (cash only)
Lots of different stalls offering some lovely items for sale, including some non-horsey things too (like Doggy Deli Co)
Refreshments including homemade sausage rolls and cakes on sale too!

DOG SHOW
Entry £2 per show per dog (cash only)
Ribbons awards up to 5th place for all classes!

The Dog Show is kindly sponsored by The Hair Lab Herts based at The Maltings.

They are raising money for Friends of the Wild Rescue & Rehab in Bishops Stortford and Surrounding Villages. They help small, self-funded wildlife, ranging from orphan birds and small mammals to animals with injuries like broken wings or legs. Find out more about this amazing charity HERE.

The Big Quiz for Tearfund

Do you like a good quiz? Do you like supporting incredible charities? If yes, then we have an evening of fun for you!

Join The 3 Churches Benefice for an epic evening of poverty-beating, community-building fun! Every penny raised will go to Tearfund, who work tirelessly to fight extreme poverty throughout the world.

WHEN: Saturday 16th November, 7pm at The Wilshere Hall, St Andrew’s Church

DETAILS: £5 per person, Teams of up to 8 people, Bring your own drinks & snacks

The St Margaretsbury Firework Display

The Annual St Margaretsbury Bonfire & Fireworks Display is on Sunday 3rd November at the Recreation Ground, St Margaretsbury, Herts SG12 8EH.

Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy this annual event, which is always lots of fun!

What are the approximate timings?
Gates open at 4pm
Bonfire lit at 6:30pm
Fireworks at 6:45pm
Ends at 7.15pm

How much are tickets?
£20 Family of 4
£8 Adults
£5 Under 14s
FREE Under 3s

No booking required – pay on the door (cash or card).

There will be additional card terminals at the entrance to speed up entry, but if you can bring cash (exact amount) for entry that will help! Please allow plenty of time.

All fundraising goes to Cheshunt Animal Rescue, which provide a safe and caring environment for all the animals that come through their doors. They rehabilitate and release wildlife and take in unwanted pets. They strive to find loving forever homes for each and every animal that enters their homes. AND A BIG WELL DONE…
Equine Table Top Sale and Dog Show have just celebrated a big milestone. They have been working hard for 5 years now, raising an incredible £27,557.00 to help support 36 different small charities. Well done to Gail and her team of amazing volunteers!

Free Wild Play Family Session

Free Wild Play Family Session funded by Herts County Council

At Groundwork East, we have recently received funding from Herts County Council, to run a free family session in Ware.

Wild play focusses on the benefits of outdoor play. Sessions encourage families to take their learning outdoors to get more active as a family, increasing their levels of physical activity and improving mental wellbeing.

We will be running a session on Thursday 26th September, 12.30–2pm at Post Wood in Ware.

All money we raise goes to Dogateers, a friendly, dedicated voluntary team of animal lovers who apply their combined experience and skills to help safely locate, trap and bring home lost dogs.

How are you celebrating the Harvest?

Harvest is a time of thanksgiving for the harvest and all the food that comes from the land. The 3 Churches Benefice has a number of different services over Harvest and would love to invite you to join them…

Harvest Songs of Praise
WHEN: Sunday 15th September
WHERE: St John the Baptist Church, Great Amwell

On Sunday 15th September, from 6.30pm, join us for Harvest Songs of Praise at St John the Baptist. Refreshments of cider and cheese will be served afterwards.

Harvest Festival
WHEN: Sunday 22nd September
WHERE: St James’s Church and  Stanstead Bury Farm, Stanstead Abbots

A Harvest Festival will be held on Sunday 22nd September! Join us for an 11am Benefice Service of Thanksgiving at St James. This will replace the normal 10.30am service at St Andrew’s. This will be followed by lunch at Stanstead Bury Farm featuring locally grown food and drink. To book tickets for lunch (£15), visit https://tinyurl.com/4hm4395x.

All Age Harvest Service
WHEN: Sunday 6th October
WHERE: St Andrew’s Church, Stanstead Abbots

Our All Age Sunday Service at St Andrew’s is a great way to bring the family together in celebration of the Harvest. Everyone is welcome!

Bike ‘n’ Hike 2024

Bike ‘n’ Hike is a fun day out where you get sponsored to visit beautiful historic churches by cycling, walking, or any mode of transport on a route of your choice. Take part and help your church – half of what you raise goes to your local church!

Do you like to get out in the beautiful local countryside? Are you interested in our beautiful local historic churches? If yes, then why not take part in this event!

Bike ‘n’ Hike Family Map
The 3 Churches Benefice have put together a specially designed Family Map for a circular route between the three churches. Route starts at any of the churches and can be done on foot or bike. The three churches will be open for pit stops along the way! Email admin@3churches.net for more information.
